ABOUT ME

My Story

It was my grandmother who first inspired me to further my love of art. As an artist herself, she was always painting and making beautiful earthenware and stoneware pottery. This led to her career in an art, which I grew up around, seeing art constantly in many forms as a part of daily life.

when I paint, it's a snapshot of a moment, a memory or even a fantasy. Something so enriching and full comes from art. It takes you to the place, makes the mind run wild with all the questions, desires and wonder of a child. Something so magical in a moment that can be revisited every time you see the piece. This is what brings me back to the easel every time, with inspired motivation.

I am fond of painting the ocean, as I find serene beauty in the white sandy beaches of WA contrasted against the deep blue and aqua colours of the ocean. I am also very fond of painting the unique landscapes and mountains of Australia.

My artwork has earnt me entry into some of Western Australia's better known art exhibitions where it has been on display, such as the 2022 Belmont Art Awards, the 2022 Darlington Art Awards, the Bayswater Art Awards and more recently, the prestigious art award, the 2023 John Glover prize,
